Heroin/Opioid Community Forums
Graphic that lists two community forums to discuss the dangers of Heroin/OpioidHeroin/opioids (prescription drugs) are a national epidemic.  It is a problem in the Roanoke Valley.  We MUST come together as a community to address this issue.

Roanoke City Public Schools will hold two important community forums.  We encourage ALL parents to attend one of these meetings.

Here are the details:

Thursday, January 25, 2018 at William Fleming High School

Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Patrick Henry High School

Both meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

These meetings will include an overview of the problem, what parents should look for, information about prevention and resources for help.  

Speakers will include representatives from Carilion, Virginia State Police, and the Roanoke Prevention Alliance & Heroin Task Force.

SPANISH:

Las Escuelas Públicas de Roanoke City tendrán dos foros comunitarios importantes. Alentamos a TODOS los padres a asistir a una de estas reuniones.

Aquí están los detalles:

Jueves, 25 de enero del 2018 en William Fleming High School

Jueves, 15 de febrero del 2018 en Patrick Henry High School

Ambas reuniones comienzan a las 6:30 p.m.

Estas reuniones incluirán una descripción general del problema, qué deben buscar los padres, información sobre prevención y recursos para obtener ayuda.

Los conferenciantes incluirán representantes de Carilion, la Policía del Estado de Virginia y la Alianza Roanoke Prevention Alliance & Heroin Task Force.
