In-person = students will receive live instruction from teacher in classroom

Online = follow New  Third 9 weeks bell schedule on laptop from outside of school

(all students must attend classes via bell schedule when listed as online)

Students who are learning at school and students who are learning virtually (either 100% virtually or who are in-person who are at home that day) will both follow the same schedule.  

When does your student report to school?
Unless you have been notified with other arrangements:
Mondays & Tuesdays ("Woodrow" days)--Students with A-L last names
Wednesdays & Thursdays ("Wilson" days)--Students with M-Z last names
Fridays--Asynchronous (at home) days for all students

Students will need to bring laptops, chargers, masks, earbuds, school supplies, and a way to carry their belongings (no lockers will be available) to school every day! If your student needs school supplies, please let us know as soon as possible (email homeroom teacher or call 853-2358).

Heroin/Opioid Community Forums
Graphic that lists two community forums to discuss the dangers of Heroin/OpioidHeroin/opioids (prescription drugs) are a national epidemic.  It is a problem in the Roanoke Valley.  We MUST come together as a community to address this issue.

Roanoke City Public Schools will hold two important community forums.  We encourage ALL parents to attend one of these meetings.

Here are the details:

Thursday, January 25, 2018 at William Fleming High School

Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Patrick Henry High School

Both meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

These meetings will include an overview of the problem, what parents should look for, information about prevention and resources for help.  

Speakers will include representatives from Carilion, Virginia State Police, and the Roanoke Prevention Alliance & Heroin Task Force.

SPANISH:

Las Escuelas Públicas de Roanoke City tendrán dos foros comunitarios importantes. Alentamos a TODOS los padres a asistir a una de estas reuniones.

Aquí están los detalles:

Jueves, 15 de febrero del 2018 en Patrick Henry High School

Ambas reuniones comienzan a las 6:30 p.m.
