Announcements:

Roanoke City Schools are hosting Trauma-Responsive Parent Community Meetings.  They take place January 13th at William Fleming High School and January 22nd at Patrick Henry High School.  Join us at 6pm  for a conversation about preventing and healing adverse childhood experiences.  Any parent is welcome to attend and dinner will be served.

Heroin/Opioid Community Forums
Graphic that lists two community forums to discuss the dangers of Heroin/OpioidHeroin/opioids (prescription drugs) are a national epidemic.  It is a problem in the Roanoke Valley.  We MUST come together as a community to address this issue.

Roanoke City Public Schools will hold two important community forums.  We encourage ALL parents to attend one of these meetings.

Here are the details:

Thursday, January 25, 2018 at William Fleming High School

Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Patrick Henry High School

Both meetings start at 6:30 p.m.

These meetings will include an overview of the problem, what parents should look for, information about prevention and resources for help.  

Speakers will include representatives from Carilion, Virginia State Police, and the Roanoke Prevention Alliance & Heroin Task Force.

SPANISH:

Las Escuelas Públicas de Roanoke City tendrán dos foros comunitarios importantes. Alentamos a TODOS los padres a asistir a una de estas reuniones.

Ambas reuniones comienzan a las 6:30 p.m.

Woodrow Wilson Middle School Mission Statement
